® There was a guy who was very much in love with this girl. Name "Amoraboti". The romantic guy folded 1,000 pieces of paper cranes as a gift to his girl. Although, at that time he was just a small executive in his company and his future doesn't seemed too bright, they were very happy together. However one day, his girl told him she is going to Paris and will never come back. She also told him that she cannot visualize any future for the both of them, so she wanted to go separate ways there and then... The guy was heartbroken but he agreed.
When he regained his confidence, he worked hard day and night, slogging his mind and body just to make a name for himself. Finally with plenty of hard work and the help of friends, he managed to set up his own company.
"You never fail until you stop trying." he always told himself. "I must make it in life!"
One rainy day, while the guy was driving, he saw an elderly couple sharing an umbrella in the rain walking to some destination. Even with the umbrella, they were still drenched. It didn't take him long to realize those were his ex-girlfriend's parents. He deliberately drove slowly beside the couple, hoping they spot him in his luxury sedan. He wanted them to know that he wasn't the same anymore. He had his own company, car, condominium, etc. He had made it in life!
Before he realized it, the couple was entering a cemetery. He got out of his car and followed them. There, he saw his ex-girlfriend. A photograph of "Amoraboti" smiling sweetly as ever at him from her tombstone. He saw his precious paper cranes placed in a bottle beside her tomb. Her parents saw him. He walked over and asked them how did this happen. They explained that she did not leave for France after all. She was ill stricken with cancer. In her heart, she believed that he will make it in life someday. However. she did not want her illness to be his obstacle. Therefore she chose to leave him.
She had wanted her parents to put his paper cranes beside her because if the day comes when fate brings him to her again, he can take some of them back with him. The guy wept miserably. The worst way to miss someone is to be sitting right beside them but knowing you can't have them and will never see them again. ⇒ Rz Rasel

® The cries of seagulls from far away woke me up that morning. I had cried the night before. I must have looked silly now with swelling eyes from the crying. The sunlight was on my face, crashing through the thin curtain hanging on the window. It reminded me of him. “Look at the sun, Sandy,” he had said. “Why, what about it?” I remembered asking. “Isn’t it like you?” he said. His eyes were thin against the sunlight. His hand was on his forehead, shielding his eyes from the brightness of the sun. “Why me?” I had asked. He put his hand down and turned to look at me in the eyes. Softly, he said, “It warms me the same way you do”. I remembered his smile when he said it. Even then, I had begun to admit that I loved him. Even in my confusion of his sudden presence in my life, I had given it a room to admit that I loved him. Him, whose presence was like a ghost, smiles angelic. “Sandy, we’ll build our lives together. We’ll start over and build our lives together!” I remembered him saying not too long ago, with eyes glowed like a child’s. As if building lives was like building a sand castle. Sand castle was all I could ever build after all. I went to the beach the day before, walked barefoot along the shore, allowing the tide to softly caress me in the feet. I had been sad, but when I looked up to the sky and allowed myself to fall back, to lie down against the sands, I found that all I could feel was anger. “I don’t believe you!” I yelled to the sky. But the sky stayed still. Blue and pretty as it had always been. No matter how loud I yelled and screamed, my questions remained unanswered. A second goodbye shouldn’t be so hard to bear, should it? Especially if you’re the one saying it. And I said it. ⇒ Rz Rasel

® There was a blind girl who hated herself just because she was blind. She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He was always there for her. She said that if she could only see the world, she would marry her boyfriend.
One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her and then she could see everything, including her boyfriend. Her boyfriend asked her, “now that you can see the world, will you marry me?”
The girl was shocked when she saw that her boyfriend was blind too, and refused to marry him. Her boyfriend walked away in tears, and later wrote a letter to her saying:
“Just take care of my eyes dear.” ⇒ Rz Rasel

Little Boy’s Consideration |
|
|
|
|
|
® One day, a ten-year-old boy went to an ice cream shop, sat at a table and asked the waitress, “How much is an ice-cream cone?” She said, “seventy-five cents.” The boy started counting the coins he had in his hand. Then he asked how much a small cup of ice-cream was. The waitress impatiently replied, “sixty five cents.” The boy said, “I will have the small ice-cream cup.” He had his ice-cream, paid the bill and left. When the waitress came to pick up the empty plate, she was touched. Underneath were ten one-cent coins as tip. The little boy had consideration for the waitress before he ordered his ice-cream. He showed sensitivity and caring. He thought of others before himself. ⇒ Rz Rasel
